The 'LEr' code is a safety lockout triggered when the controller detects a loss of heat. The thermocouple is the critical electromechanical component that provides this thermal data; if the sensor's internal junction degrades, it provides inaccurate millivolt feedback, causing the grill to erroneously report a low-temperature condition and shut down.
