Arm Locking Plunger Service Kit

The locking mechanism relies on a hardened steel pin being forced by a compression spring into a detent hole. If the arm fails to lock, the spring has likely reached its fatigue limit or the pin housing has accumulated debris or internal burrs that create enough friction to overcome the spring's force. This kit replaces the physical interference components that provide the mechanical lock.

Arm Adjustment Release Cable

The button on the arm acts on a physical cable that pulls the locking pin out of its seat. If this cable becomes frayed or stretched, it may prevent the pin from fully reseating in the detent, or it may keep the pin under partial tension, allowing it to slip out of the locking hole under load.

Vertical Slider Carriage Assembly

If the arm won't lock vertically, the carriage assembly containing the primary brake and height-locking pins may have suffered structural deformation. This occurs when the internal track-gripping mechanism fails to align with the vertical rail's index points, requiring a replacement of the entire sliding carriage to restore safety and stability.
