Motor Wiring Harness

The motor wiring harness on the R-Series is a dedicated segment that bridges the motor's internal lead to the main controller harness. A physical cut necessitates replacement because the high-amperage phase wires and sensitive 5V Hall sensor wires cannot be reliably spliced while maintaining environmental sealing and signal integrity. Replacing this specific harness segment restores the commutation pathway needed for the brushless motor to function.

Rear Hub Motor Assembly

If the cable is cut flush with the axle exit point, the wires are non-serviceable outside of a factory environment. The internal stator wiring is vacuum-sealed and exits through a hollow axle; a cut at this stress-concentration point usually requires a full motor replacement because the lead-out wires are integral to the motor's internal windings.

Controller-to-Motor Extension Cable

Depending on where the cut occurred along the frame's stay, it may only be the modular extension cable rather than the motor-side lead. Replacing the extension cable is the most granular fix if the damage is proximal to the controller rather than distal at the hub motor axle.
