Steam Deck OLED Trackpad Assembly
The haptic sensation is produced by a Linear Resonant Actuator (LRA) mounted directly to the trackpad carrier. A buzzing or rattling sound indicates that the actuator's vibrational energy is causing parasitic resonance, either due to a failure of the internal suspension within the LRA or a loss of structural integrity in the trackpad housing. Replacing the entire trackpad assembly ensures that the actuator and its mounting interface are correctly calibrated and seated to prevent unwanted acoustic noise.
