SRAM AXS Battery
The Li-Po cell in the AXS system has a finite cycle life and is susceptible to internal resistance (ESR) increases. When the derailleur motor attempts to actuate, it draws a high-amperage burst; if the battery's ESR is too high, the resulting voltage sag triggers a brown-out in the wireless controller, causing the derailleur to shut down or fail to respond to shift commands. Replacing the battery provides a fresh electrochemical substrate capable of maintaining stable voltage under peak motor loads.
