Water Inlet Valve Assembly

The water inlet valve contains independent solenoids for hot and cold water. When the hot water fails to flow despite adequate supply pressure, it indicates either a structural blockage in the internal mesh filter or a mechanical seizure of the hot-side electromagnetic plunger. Replacing the entire valve assembly restores the integrity of the electromechanical fluid control system.

Inlet Hose Filter Screens

Sediment and mineral scale from the water heater often accumulate at the high-pressure interface of the hot water hose. This physical obstruction prevents the volumetric flow required for the pressure switch to register a fill state. Replacing these sacrificial screens is the primary forensic step in addressing localized flow restriction.

Electronic Control Overlay/Board

In rare instances of logic failure, the control board may fail to output the necessary 120V signal to the hot water solenoid during the fill sequence. This represents a failure in the switching logic rather than a fluid dynamics issue, though it is statistically less common than a mechanical valve failure.
