T-Con Board

The Timing Controller (T-Con) translates the main board's video signal into the row/column data for the LCD panel. A malfunction in the T-Con's logic chips or voltage regulators frequently manifests as static lines across the screen. Replacing this board is the most cost-effective hardware fix for image distortion.

Internal LVDS Ribbon Cable Set

Corrosion or seating issues at the gold-plated contact pins of the LVDS or flat-flex cables between the Main Board, T-Con, and Panel can cause data loss. This leads to missing columns or rows of pixels (lines). Cleaning with isopropyl alcohol or replacement restores signal integrity.

LCD Panel Assembly

If lines persist after T-Con and cable replacement, the failure is located in the COF (Chip on Film) bonding where the drivers meet the glass substrate. This is a non-serviceable mechanical failure of the panel itself, requiring a full screen replacement.
