The BT-DN300 acts as the master node for the E-Tube communication BUS; a failure in its internal logic circuit often prevents the entire drivetrain from entering a 'Deep Sleep' mode. In 12-speed systems, the battery's firmware regulates the wireless wake-up cycles of the derailleurs, and a hardware defect or unpopulated port logic can cause continuous parasitic drain.
