Shark Rotator Professional Filter Kit (HEPA, Foam & Felt)

The filter light is triggered by an airflow restriction sensor that monitors the pressure drop across the vacuum's filtration stages. Saturated HEPA pleats and clogged foam/felt pre-filters restrict air movement, causing the motor to work harder and the sensor to trip. Replacing the entire set restores factory-spec airflow and clears the electronic indicator.

Replacement Suction Hose

If the filter light remains on after filter replacement, the restriction is likely a physical blockage or a collapsed internal liner within the flexible suction hose. A blockage increases static pressure, which the system interprets as a dirty filter, triggering the dashboard alert.

Dust Cup Assembly

The cyclone assembly within the dust cup can sometimes experience a failure in the mesh screen or gasket seal, causing debris to bypass the primary separation and immediately clog the foam filters. If the filter light returns shortly after cleaning, the internal seals of the dust cup may be compromised.
