Exhaust Manifold Gasket

The gasket serves as the primary seal for both exhaust gases and cooling water transitioning between the cylinder head and the manifold. Over time, the aggressive thermal gradients of the 4-TEC engine cause the gasket material to degrade and lose its compression set, leading to external leaks into the hull.

Exhaust Manifold Bolt Kit

Stainless steel manifold bolts in marine environments are susceptible to stress-corrosion cracking and galvanic bonding with the aluminum head. When these bolts shear or stretch, the loss of axial clamping force allows the manifold to pull away from the engine block, resulting in a persistent leak.

Water-Jacketed Exhaust Manifold

The manifold is a dual-wall casting designed to circulate cooling water around the exhaust path. Internal corrosion or 'frost-jacking' from improper winterization can cause the internal or external walls to crack, leading to cooling system pressure loss or water intrusion into the exhaust stream.
