LED Backlight Strip Set

The NU6900 is an edge-lit model where the LED strips are the primary failure point. High operating temperatures cause individual LEDs to open-circuit, resulting in a dim or completely dark display while audio remains functional. Replacing the strips restores the light source to the panel.

Main Board / Power Supply Assembly

This model utilizes an integrated board design. If the LED driver stage on the board fails to provide the necessary voltage to the backlight array, the screen will remain dark despite the LEDs being functional. This is the secondary suspect if the flashlight test reveals an image on the LCD.

Replacement Light Guide Plate / Diffuser Panel

Common in the NU series, the heat from failing LEDs often melts the edge of the diffuser sheet. If only the LEDs are replaced without addressing a melted LGP, the new LEDs may fail prematurely or display dark spots/shadows. While difficult to source individually, it is often required for a permanent fix.
