LCD Panel Assembly

The TU7000 series utilizes an entry-level panel design where the gate drivers are integrated into the glass; internal shorts in these layers cause persistent horizontal or vertical lines. This is a known manufacturing defect where thermal expansion causes the thin-film transistors (TFT) to fail. Replacement of the entire panel is the only permanent solution.

Main Board

On this model, the Timing Controller (T-Con) is integrated into the Main Board. If the image processing unit or the LVDS output stage on the processor fails, it can produce digital artifacts or vertical bars, though this is significantly less common than panel shorts.

Internal LVDS Ribbon Cables

Oxidation or improper seating of the flexible flat cables (FFC) between the main board and the panel source boards can cause intermittent line data loss. Cleaning or replacing these cables can resolve lines if they are triggered by vibration or physical movement.
