LED Backlight Strip Array
The Q80T uses a Full Array Local Dimming (FALD) system where LEDs are wired in series-parallel strings. If a significant number of LEDs fail or short due to thermal stress, the power supply's protection logic may disable the entire backlight rail to prevent further damage, resulting in a black screen while the system logic and audio remain active.

Power Supply Board (LIPS Board)
This board contains the LED driver circuitry responsible for boosting voltage to the backlight array. A failure of the transformer, filter capacitors, or driver ICs on this board can result in the loss of backlight voltage ('no picture') while still providing the 13V standby/run rails required for the Main Board and speakers to function.

Main Logic Board
The Main Board handles the LVDS/V-by-One video signal processing. If the video processor or the T-CON sub-section (often integrated in this model) fails, it will stop sending the image data to the panel. While less common than backlight failure for this specific symptom, a digital signal processing fault can leave the audio processing block operational while the video output is null.
