Radiant Surface Element (Triple)

The heating ribbon inside the ceramic element housing often develops a 'hot spot' or fatigue break from repeated thermal expansion. If the ribbon is severed, the circuit remains open and the burner will not glow or produce heat. This specific part is for the large front-right triple-zone burner, which is the most frequently used and highest-failure component on this model.

Main Electronic Control Board

This board contains the mechanical relays that switch 240V power to the surface elements. As noted in consumer reports regarding board failures on this series, carbon buildup or solder joint failure on the relay can prevent voltage from reaching the burner, even if the user interface appears to be working.

Surface Element Control Switch

Also known as the infinite switch, this component regulates the duty cycle of the burner. Internal contact pitting or mechanical failure of the internal bimetal strip can prevent the switch from completing the circuit to the heating element.
