Convection Fan Blade (Impeller)
The fan blade is subject to extreme thermal stress which can lead to metal fatigue and warping of the fins. Once the blade loses its planar alignment, centrifugal force causes it to oscillate and strike the rear convection baffle or the oven wall. Replacing the blade restores the necessary clearance for high-RPM operation.

Convection Fan Motor
The motor bearings are responsible for maintaining the axial position of the fan shaft. If the rear bearing fails or the mounting bracket flexes due to heat-induced stress, the shaft will develop 'play,' allowing the entire assembly to migrate toward the back of the oven during operation. A new motor assembly ensures the shaft remains rigid and centered.

Fan Blade Nut (Left-Hand Thread)
This fastener is reverse-threaded to prevent it from spinning off during normal rotation; however, vibration can still cause it to lose torque. If the nut is even slightly loose, the blade will tilt on the D-shaped shaft, resulting in an imbalanced rotation that creates the 'hitting' or 'clanking' sound against the rear housing.
