The soft action roller often experiences debris ingress at the end-cap bearings. This contamination increases rotational friction, causing the motor to stall. Replacing the roller restores the low-friction interface required for the drive spline to rotate without triggering an over-current shutdown.

Turbo Action Brush Assembly

If the roller is clear of debris but remains stuck, the internal high-torque DC motor or the belt-drive mechanism within the head assembly has likely failed. This assembly contains the motor and gear-train which are non-serviceable components prone to thermal degradation after repeated stalls.
