Refrigerator Evaporator Thermistor

This thermistor monitors the evaporator coil temperature in the refrigerator compartment. If it fails or drifts out of its specified resistance range, the control board will incorrectly assume the compartment is already at the set temperature, thereby failing to activate the cooling loop. Replacing this granular sensor is the standard first-line repair for cooling issues in Twin Cooling models.

Evaporator Fan Motor

The evaporator fan is responsible for drawing air across the cold coils and distributing it throughout the cabin. On the RF28R7201, these motors are susceptible to failure from moisture ingress or bearing seizure. If the fan fails, the evaporator will frost over while the refrigerator compartment remains warm due to lack of airflow.

Main Power Control Board (PBA)

The Main PBA manages the logic for the inverter compressor and the distribution of refrigerant via the 3-way valve. If the board's relays or logic circuits for the refrigerator's cooling loop fail, the unit will not supply power to the fans or sensors, resulting in a 'not cooling' state despite the freezer potentially functioning normally.
