Upper Washer Door Lock Switch

This switch monitors the closed state of the top washer. In Flexwash models, the 1dC4 error (Door Error) is most commonly caused by the failure of this electrical switch to signal the control board that the inner lid is secured, often due to internal contact corrosion or mechanical fatigue.

Upper Washer Inner Lid Assembly

If the plastic latching tabs on the inner door assembly are chipped or warped, the door will not physically engage the safety switch. Because the switch is often integrated or requires specific alignment with the lid's geometry, replacing the full inner door assembly is frequently required to ensure a proper mechanical fit.

Main Control Board (PCB)

The control board processes the 'closed' signal from both the top and bottom door switches. If the switches and wiring harnesses test positive for continuity but the error persists, the logic gate on the PCB responsible for door state monitoring has likely failed.
