Thermal Fuse
This is a one-time safety device that blows if the dryer overheats, usually due to a clogged vent. Once blown, it breaks the electrical circuit to the gas burner, preventing the igniter from functioning. It is the most common cause of a total loss of heat in Samsung gas dryers.

Gas Valve Solenoid Set
These coils are responsible for electromagnetically opening the gas valves. In many Samsung units, the igniter will glow, but if the coils have failed, they cannot open the valve to release gas for combustion. They often fail intermittently as they heat up during a cycle.

Dryer Thermistor
The thermistor monitors the internal drum temperature and sends resistance signals to the control board. If the resistance is out of range (as indicated by codes tC or HC in the service manual), the control board will disable the heating circuit to prevent a fire hazard or incorrect drying.
