Water Level Sensor (ECS Sensor)
This sensor utilizes a thermistor and conductivity probes to monitor water levels in the sump. If the sensor is fouled by grease or detergent buildup, or if the internal circuitry drifts, it sends an incorrect frequency to the main PCB. This triggers the OC code as the controller perceives the tub is overfilled even if the water level is physically nominal.

Water Inlet Valve
The inlet valve uses a solenoid-actuated diaphragm to control water flow; if debris or mineral deposits lodge in the valve seat, the diaphragm cannot form a watertight seal. This results in 'weeping,' where water continuously enters the tub under line pressure regardless of the electrical state of the solenoid, eventually exceeding the over-level threshold.

Drain Pump Assembly
If the drain pump's centrifugal impeller is obstructed or the motor windings have increased resistance, the unit cannot evacuate water within the timed drainage phase. The residual water from the previous cycle combined with the new fill cycle causes the total volume to exceed the safety limit, triggering the OC sensor.
