The harvest cycle is governed by an internal thermistor that monitors ice temperature; if it fails to detect the 'frozen' threshold, the motor will not trigger. Because the 'Test' or 'Reset' button manually overrides this sensor logic and successfully dumps ice, the failure is isolated to the sensor feedback or the control timing within the module itself. Replacing the assembly provides a new thermistor and drive motor, restoring the automated harvest trigger.
