Drive Belt

The drive belt is the primary mechanical link between the brushless motor and the auger pulley. In snow-clearing operations, if the auger encounters high-density obstructions or ice, the belt can experience sudden tensile shock or excessive frictional heating, causing it to snap or stretch beyond its functional limit. Replacing the belt restores the required friction-based torque transmission to the auger.

Auger Shear Bolt Kit

These bolts act as a mechanical fuse designed to break when the auger hits a solid object like a rock or frozen curb. This protects the expensive brushless motor and gearbox from catastrophic torque feedback. If the motor is spinning but the auger remains stationary, the bolt has likely sheared and must be replaced to re-index the auger to the drive shaft.

Idler Tensioner Spring

The tensioner spring maintains the necessary lateral pressure on the drive belt to ensure it grips the motor and auger pulleys. If the spring loses its constant (K-factor) due to metal fatigue or corrosion, the belt will slip or jump off the track, resulting in a motor that spins without engaging the auger.
