Handle Safety Interlock Microswitch

The safety circuit relies on a microswitch located within the handle pivot or telescoping rail that confirms the handle is fully deployed. Over time, vibrations and mechanical wear prevent the handle's plastic actuator from maintaining sufficient pressure on the switch, resulting in an open circuit that the motor controller interprets as an unsafe operating state.

Handle Locking Lever Kit

Wear in the locking lever cam mechanism leads to 'handle creep' where the telescoping rails slide inward during use. This displacement moves the switch actuator out of range of the sensor, breaking the continuity of the brushless motor's start-gate circuit.

Main Control Wiring Harness

Repeated folding and unfolding of the mower handle for storage subjects the internal wiring to high-cycle fatigue. This eventually causes a wire fracture at the hinge point, mimicking a sensor failure by preventing the safety signal from reaching the electronic speed controller.
