Dryer Module Fan Assembly
The fan assembly is a brushless DC motor housed in a plastic scroll. In high-humidity environments, moisture can bypass the motor seals and cause short-circuiting on the internal commutation board. This leads to a total loss of function where the dock's logic board ceases power delivery to the module to prevent further electrical damage.

Dock Thermal Cutoff Fuse
If the fan experiences a mechanical stall due to debris or bearing seizure, the PTC heating element will quickly reach critical temperatures. A secondary thermal fuse is often inline to break the circuit permanently, rendering the module 'dead' until the fuse and the source of the overheat are replaced.
