Condensate Neutralizer Cartridge/Kit

The neutralizer media inside the cartridge has likely reached its chemical exhaustion point or has physically collapsed, creating a flow restriction. When the condensate cannot exit the unit at the required rate, the internal reservoir level rises, causing the control board to throw Error 29 for safety. Installing a new cartridge restores the volumetric flow rate of the drainage system.

Condensate Neutralizer Media Refill

If the housing is intact, replacing only the sacrificial alkaline media solves the root cause of the blockage. The error is triggered by the resistance to flow caused by the byproduct of the neutralization reaction (sludge or fines) which accumulates at the bottom of the vessel. Fresh media ensures the acidic condensate can permeate the bed and drain freely.

Condensate Trap Assembly

In some forensic cases, the blockage occurs within the molded condensate trap rather than the neutralizer itself. Scale or debris from the heat exchanger can settle in the trap's U-bend, simulating a neutralizer clog by preventing the fluid from reaching the drainage exit. Replacing the trap assembly clears the mechanical obstruction in the fluid path.
