3-Way Solenoid Valve Assembly

The 3-way solenoid is the mechanical gate for the soft infusion sequence. Mineral deposits (calcium carbonate) often accumulate on the valve seat, creating enough friction to prevent the electromagnetic coil from retracting the plunger under the low-pressure conditions of the expansion-based infusion phase.

Solenoid Valve Coil (230V/110V)

The coil provides the magnetic force required to lift the plunger. If the coil's internal windings have degraded, it may lack the magnetic flux density required to actuate the valve against the static boiler pressure during the pre-wetting phase, even if it appears to function once the pump provides a pressure differential.

Group Head Gicleur (Orifice Jet)

This small-diameter restrictor regulates the flow of water into the group head. Because the soft infusion phase uses passive pressure, the tiny 0.6mm-0.8mm aperture of the gicleur is the first point of failure for scale-driven flow restriction, effectively 'failing' the soft infusion while still allowing high-pressure flow.
