Rotary Encoder Footswitch Assembly
The Quad Cortex uses custom-designed dual-function encoders where the rotary shaft also acts as the footswitch plunger. A loss of 'click' indicates that the internal tactile dome has either collapsed due to fatigue or the plunger has become misaligned within the bushing, preventing it from striking the internal switch. This component must be replaced as a single integrated unit to restore both rotary and momentary switch functionality.
