CMOS Battery

The CMOS battery maintains critical system settings and time. An intermittent connection or a need for a system configuration reset, achieved by removing and reinserting the battery, can resolve unexpected shutdowns.

Capacitor (near HDMI encoder)

Given the prior HDMI port replacement, heat damage during the repair process could have affected nearby surface-mount capacitors around the HDMI encoder. Damaged or missing capacitors can lead to power instability, causing the console to shut down unexpectedly.

APU Thermal Management

Although the liquid metal was reapplied and the issue persisted, thermal events are a common cause for consoles shutting down after a short period. An underlying issue with the heatsink mounting pressure, fan operation, or a faulty temperature sensor could still lead to the APU overheating and triggering a protective shutdown.
