High-Performance Thermal Paste (Arctic MX-4 or equivalent)

The original factory thermal paste dries out over time, creating an air gap between the APU and the copper heat pipe. This high-conductivity paste restores the thermal bridge, allowing heat to move efficiently to the heatsink. This reduces the core temperature and allows the fan to operate at its intended lower RPM/noise profile.

Internal Blower Cooling Fan

If cleaning and repasting do not solve the issue, the fan's fluid dynamic bearings may be worn or the motor may be struggling with internal friction. A replacement OEM fan (Nidec or Delta variants) ensures the blades are properly balanced and capable of moving the required CFM of air without mechanical vibration or whining.

Silicone Thermal Pad Kit

Used to replace the aging pads on the GDDR5 RAM chips surrounding the APU. These pads often shift or degrade, causing the RAM to overheat and contribute to the overall thermal envelope of the chassis, forcing the main fan to work harder to cool the entire internal cavity.
