This stainless steel mesh screen is located inside the Universal Wall Fitting (UWF) and is the primary point of ingress for water. Over time, it becomes occluded with fine debris or calcium scale, creating a pressure drop that starves the cleaner's drive turbine of the hydraulic energy required for movement.

G52 Backup Valve Replacement Kit

The backup valve contains an internal gear mechanism that periodically redirects flow to a jet to move the cleaner off obstacles. If the internal casing cracks or the gears jam in a partially open state, water pressure is constantly bled off into the backup jet rather than the drive wheels, resulting in significantly reduced travel speed.
