Brake Cable and Linkage Assembly
The Ypsi braking system relies on a Bowden cable to transfer foot-pedal force to the wheel locking pins. Over time, particulate contamination enters the cable housing, or the inner stainless steel wire frays, causing a mechanical bind that return springs cannot overcome. Replacing the cable and housing assembly eliminates this internal friction and ensures the locking pins can fully retract from the rear wheel cogs.
