Ninja BL610 Lid Assembly
The lid contains a mechanical cam-actuator linked to the locking handle. When the handle is pressed, it must physically extend a pin into the pitcher's handle to complete the safety interlock loop. If the internal plastic tabs or spring mechanism within the lid fail, the pin will not engage the base sensors, causing the power light to flash indefinitely.

The pitcher housing contains a vertical transmission rod that carries the mechanical 'locked' signal from the lid down to the motor base. If the rod is jammed by debris or the bottom locking tabs are worn/chipped, the motor base microswitch will not be depressed, preventing the blender from sensing that the vessel is secure.
