Lens Mount Assembly
The failure is caused by a mechanical obstruction or out-of-tolerance condition within the bayonet mount flange that prevents the lens from completing its rotational path. This physical interference stops the lens before it can reach the locking detent where the spring-loaded pin secures the mount.
