Soft-Touch Momentary Footswitch

This pedal utilizes a soft-touch relay-based switching system. The internal momentary switch can suffer from actuator fatigue or contact oxidation over thousands of cycles, preventing the digital signal processor (DSP) from engaging or resulting in a stuck bypass state where the effect cannot be heard.

Side-Mounted Kill Dry Mini-Toggle Switch

The Mk II features an external toggle to eliminate the dry signal for parallel effects loops. These small mechanical switches are susceptible to physical shearing or internal leaf-spring failure if the pedal is kicked or bumped during transport, leading to a permanent 'wet-only' signal state that is often interpreted as a circuit failure.

2.1mm DC Power Jack (PCB Mount)

Guitar pedals are subject to frequent insertion/removal of power cables. Repeated stress on the solder pads of the DC jack often leads to hairline fractures in the solder joints or the internal ground-shunting tab, resulting in intermittent power loss or a completely non-functional (dead) unit.
