Nest Power Connector
The Nest Power Connector provides a consistent 24VAC return path to the thermostat without drawing current through the HVAC equipment's control relays. By establishing a dedicated circuit for the thermostat's internal logic and battery charging, it eliminates the parasitic 'power stealing' load on the Y or W terminals. This prevents the mechanical chattering/clicking caused by the relay coil sitting at the threshold of its 'must-operate' voltage.
