Could a failing LCD Hinge Set (Left & Right) cause the MSI GS66 STEALTH to have symptom: Stealth Hinge Cracked?

The mechanical pivot assembly is the primary failure point where material fatigue causes the metal bracket to snap or seize. Replacing both hinges ensures uniform torque and prevents immediate asymmetric stress on the new assembly. This restores the mechanical articulation required for screen movement.

Could a failing LCD Back Cover (A-Shell) cause the MSI GS66 STEALTH to have symptom: Stealth Hinge Cracked?

In the GS66 chassis, the hinges are anchored to the display lid via threaded brass inserts. When a hinge seizes or stiffens, the leverage typically rips these inserts out of the back cover, making the hinge impossible to re-secure without a new structural housing.

Could a failing LCD Front Bezel cause the MSI GS66 STEALTH to have symptom: Stealth Hinge Cracked?

As the hinge mechanism fails, it often forces the plastic bezel to bulge and crack during lid actuation. This component provides the final structural tension and aesthetic coverage for the hinge-to-lid interface.
