The flashing LED is a diagnostic signal that the tool's internal logic has entered a lockout state due to a perceived thermal or voltage fault. When this persists with a charged battery, it confirms a failure in the control board's power MOSFETs or the sensing circuitry that communicates with the battery. Because the electronics are potted in resin to prevent environmental damage, the integrated switch and controller assembly must be replaced to restore the commutation signals to the brushless motor.
