Motor and Electronics Service Assembly
The M18 Fuel brushless motor relies on thin polymer insulation on the stator windings which can vaporize under extreme thermal loads, producing smoke. Because the motor controller and stator are electronically integrated and often potted for durability, a failure in the windings or the power MOSFETs requires replacing the entire internal drive assembly.
