Oil Pump Assembly
The automatic oiler in this cordless platform utilizes a small-displacement pump that is highly susceptible to varnish and sludge buildup when bar oil is left to sit. Over time, the oil undergoes oxidative polymerization, forming a tacky residue that seized the internal piston or gears. Replacing the assembly is necessary as the internal check valves are non-serviceable and cannot be cleared once the lubricant has reached a solid or semi-solid state.

Oil Filter and Pickup Tube
The intake side of the oiling system features a fine-mesh screen filter designed to prevent sawdust from entering the pump. If sawdust enters the reservoir during refueling, it combines with the tacky bar oil to form an impermeable crust over the filter surface, cutting off the fluid supply to the pump and simulating a mechanical clog.
