Front Drum Glide and Seal Kit

In Maytag models using a front-support design, Teflon or plastic glides act as a low-friction interface between the drum and the bulkhead. If these glides wear through or the felt seal becomes displaced, the metal drum will rub directly against the stationary metal frame, producing a harsh, metallic screeching and often leaving behind fine metal shavings.
