Water Level Pressure Sensor Switch

The PE error code indicates a communication or range fault in the pressure sensing circuit. This switch is the primary component responsible for translating tub air pressure into an electronic frequency. Internal failure of the sensor's transducer or a punctured diaphragm prevents the machine from detecting water levels, leading to an immediate cycle halt for flood prevention.

Pressure Sensor Wiring Harness

In high-vibration top-load environments, the small-gauge wires leading to the pressure sensor can experience fatigue or terminal fretting. If the sensor itself is functional, a break in the signal wire or a loose connection at the plastic housing will trigger the same PE error by interrupting the frequency feedback loop to the main controller.

Pressure Switch Hose

The physical air-link between the outer tub and the sensor can become clogged with detergent residue or develops small pinhole leaks. If the air column cannot be pressurized due to a leak or blockage, the sensor will never reach the 'empty' or 'full' frequency thresholds, causing the control board to flag a sensing error.
