OLED Panel Assembly

Vertical or horizontal lines on an OLED screen are caused by a failure in the communication between the source drivers and the pixel rows. If the software-based 'Pixel Cleaning' fails to resolve the issue, it indicates a physical hardware defect in the COF bonding or the TFT backplane. Because these components are fused to the glass during manufacturing, the entire panel assembly must be replaced.

Main Logic Board

While less common for single-pixel lines, a malfunctioning main board can occasionally send corrupted LVDS or V-by-One signals that manifest as vertical artifacts. This is typically only the cause if the lines flicker or change position based on the input source.

Internal Ribbon Cables (LVDS/Flex)

Poor seating or oxidation on the flexible flat cables connecting the main board to the panel's source drivers can cause data signal interruptions. This is a low-probability 'last-ditch' fix before panel replacement.
