The cursor function relies on an internal 6-axis IMU (gyroscope/accelerometer) and a Bluetooth RF transmitter. If standard buttons work (via IR) but the cursor is absent, the RF pairing or the MEMS sensor has failed. This component replaces the entire transmission side of the cursor logic.
