OLED Panel Assembly

Persistent lines on an OLED are typically caused by a failure in the Tape Automated Bonding (TAB) or the Chip on Film (COF) drivers integrated into the glass substrate. When these drivers fail or short, the TV's protection circuitry often detects the overcurrent and shuts the unit down to prevent fire or further board damage. Replacing the entire panel assembly is the only reliable way to fix internal row/column driver shorts.

T-Con (Timing Controller) Board

The T-Con board translates the video signal from the main board into the specific timing required by the panel drivers. If the logic chip or voltage regulators on this board fail, it can result in vertical lines or a complete loss of image sync. This is a common 'first-swap' component because it is significantly cheaper than a panel replacement.

LVDS Ribbon Cable Kit

Corrosion, oxidation, or heat-induced expansion can cause the high-density ribbon cables between the Main Board, T-Con, and Panel to lose contact. This manifests as intermittent or permanent lines. Cleaning and reseating these cables is a standard field service procedure, but replacement is necessary if the pins are physically damaged or burnt.
