Governor Stepper Motor Actuator

This component translates electrical pulses from the controller into mechanical rotation to manage engine RPM. Internal failure of the phase windings or mechanical binding in the internal gear train prevents the unit from maintaining the 60Hz frequency threshold, triggering a 'UF' or 'Governor' error. Replacing the motor restores the electromechanical link required for stable load-following.

RDC2 Digital Controller Board

The RDC2 controller houses the stepper motor driver circuit which provides the voltage pulses to the actuator. If the stepper motor shorts internally, it can damage the MOSFETs on this board, causing it to lose the ability to signal the motor correctly. If a new stepper motor does not cycle during the boot sequence, the control logic on this board has likely failed.

Platinum Spark Plug Set

Fouled or worn spark plugs cause combustion instability and engine 'hunting' that the stepper motor may attempt to over-correct. This mechanical oscillation can be misinterpreted by the controller as a governor system error when the root cause is actually poor ignition under load. Replacing the plugs ensures the engine can reach the torque required to satisfy the governor's RPM target.
