Brew Group Maintenance Kit (O-Rings and Lubricant)

The most common cause of Error 8 is frictional resistance caused by swollen or dry piston gaskets. As the seals degrade, the gear motor must draw higher current to overcome the drag; if the cycle is not completed within a specific timing window, the CPU triggers the error. Replacing the seals and applying food-grade silicone lubricant restores the low-friction kinematics required for the initialization sequence.

Brew Group Encoder

The encoder is responsible for counting motor revolutions to determine the precise location of the brew unit. If the plastic clips holding the encoder to the gear motor fail or if the internal sensor becomes fouled by carbon dust, the logic board loses the ability to track the brew group's position. This loss of feedback results in a 'time-out' error even if the motor is physically moving.

Brew Group Gear Motor (12V/24V DC)

Internal electrical resistance or mechanical wear in the motor's reduction gearbox can prevent it from delivering the necessary torque to compress the ground coffee. If the motor is unable to reach the full compression point or return to the 'Home' position due to internal winding failure, the system identifies a mechanical stall and reports Error 8.
