Flow Meter

The flow meter uses a Hall effect sensor to monitor an internal impeller; if carbon particles from the water filter or limescale jam this impeller, the CPU detects zero water movement. This triggers a 'System Filling' loop as the software repeatedly attempts to prime the pump to protect the thermoblock from dry-firing. Replacing the meter restores the volumetric pulse signal required to exit the initialization phase.

Ceramic Valve Assembly

The ENA 8 utilizes an electronically driven ceramic valve to distribute water between the coffee, steam, and rinse circuits. If the internal ceramic discs become bound by mineral deposits or the positioning micro-switch fails, the machine cannot confirm the valve's alignment, leading to an infinite software error loop as it tries to recalibrate the valve's home position.

Pump Membrane Regulator

This component sits directly on the high-pressure pump outlet to dampen noise and regulate flow; it contains a fine mesh filter that is a primary collection point for system debris. A partial blockage here reduces the fluid velocity below the threshold needed to spin the flow meter impeller, effectively 'starving' the sensor and causing the machine to loop in a priming state.
