Power Supply Board

The Power Supply Board (PSU) is responsible for converting AC wall power into steady DC voltage rails. In 75-inch QLED models, high current draw for the direct-lit backlight often causes thermal fatigue in the electrolytic capacitors or the MOSFETs, leading to voltage drops that trigger the TV's internal protection shutdown. Replacing the board restores stable power delivery and prevents unwanted current-sensing trips.

Main Board

The Main Board houses the Fire TV OS processor and system memory. If the System-on-a-Chip (SoC) overheats due to poor thermal paste application or if the eMMC storage chip develops bad sectors, the system will initiate a hard reboot or shutdown to prevent hardware damage. This is a common pattern when the shutdown occurs specifically during heavy app usage or streaming.

IR Sensor / Button Function Board

A localized short in the infrared (IR) receiver module or a sticking physical power button on the TV's chassis can send a continuous or intermittent 'Power' command to the microcontroller.
