Poly-V Drive Belt

The drive belt transfers torque from the handle assembly to the electromagnetic flywheel. If the belt becomes glazed or the ribbing loses its geometric profile, it creates high-frequency harmonic vibrations against the pulleys, manifesting as a high-pitched whine that increases with stroke speed.

Idler Pulley Assembly

The idler pulley maintains constant tension on the drive belt and contains high-speed sealed bearings. Because the idler has a significantly smaller diameter than the flywheel, it rotates at much higher RPMs; bearing race pitting or lubricant failure in this component typically results in a persistent mechanical whine.

Flywheel Bearing Set

The heavy flywheel relies on internal ball bearings to rotate smoothly against the electromagnetic resistance.
