VIVE XR Elite Battery Cradle

The battery cradle is a complete modular assembly containing the cells and the primary connection interface. Mechanical wear on the proprietary USB-C mounting pins or a failure of the internal handshaking firmware often prevents the headset from recognizing the power source. Replacing the entire assembly ensures all mechanical and electronic interfaces are refreshed.

Battery Cradle Board

This internal PCB manages the communication protocol between the battery cells and the headset's Snapdragon XR2 processor. Component-level failure, often caused by Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) during the docking process or thermal stress from high-current charging, results in a 'Not Connecting' state even if the battery cells themselves are healthy.

VIVE XR Elite Right Temple Arm

The connection point on the headset side is housed within the temple arm. Constant flexing at the hinge can lead to fatigue-induced micro-fractures in the internal USB-C ribbon cable. If the cradle functions on another headset, the failure is localized to the receiving connector and wiring within this arm assembly.
